Kurumin Certification
Takaya obtained Kurumin certification on January 20, 2023. Kurumin certification is a system under the Act on Promotion of Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation, whereby companies meeting certain standards can receive certification (Kurumin certification) from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as “childcare support companies.” Takaya has consistently pursued various initiatives aimed at creating a comfortable working environment, including preventing excessive workloads and providing childcare and nursing care support. We continue these efforts on an ongoing basis.

Okayama Child-Rearing Support Declaration Company
“Advance Company” Certification
Takaya has been certified as an “Advance Company” under the Okayama Childcare Support Declaration Program by Okayama Prefecture. “Advance Companies” are Okayama Childcare Support Declaration Program members recognized for their particularly proactive support of employees' work-life balance. We received this certification in recognition of our childcare support measures and our track record in implementing them.

Childcare Leave Acquisition and Return-to-Work Support System
Takaya provides comprehensive maternity leave and childcare leave systems, which are well-established in practice. Women comprise approximately 40% of Takaya's workforce. Over the past five years, 41 employees have taken childcare leave, with 100% of those who wished to take it successfully doing so. Furthermore, the return-to-work rate stands at 98%, meaning nearly all employees return to their positions. For those facing unavoidable difficulties returning to work due to family circumstances, we offer flexible options such as reduced working hours or transitioning from full-time to part-time employment.

Comprehensive Health Checkup Assistance Program
Takaya provides a comprehensive health screening program to support employees' healthy lifestyles, offering not only group health checkups but also comprehensive health screenings. This program enables employees to undergo annual comprehensive health screenings for a minimal out-of-pocket cost, aiding in the early detection of illnesses.

Gynecological Screening Program (Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer)
Takaya offers gynecological examinations during its company-wide health screenings. These are provided free of charge to interested employees. This helps with the early detection of diseases specific to women, such as breast cancer and cervical cancer.

Initiatives to Support Continued Employment (Insurance and Medical Expense Assistance)
We are actively working to support employees experiencing mental health issues due to various problems and to help them return to work as soon as possible. Furthermore, as part of our efforts to prevent mental health issues before they arise, we are implementing company-wide mental health initiatives, including annual stress checks and line care training for managers.
At Takaya, in response to requests from employees with health concerns, we provide opportunities for monthly consultations with our occupational physician. Additionally, our occupational physician visits each workplace once a month to offer advice, helping us strive to improve the workplace environment.
