A Vision for Textiles, Born in Ibara
Driven by a desire to grow the weaving industry throughout the region,
our founder Sasaichi Otsuka launched the textile business under the name “Daichuya” in Takaya-cho, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture.1918
Takaya Orimono Reorganizes as Takaya Orimono Co., Ltd.
Expanding Markets and Building a Brand
To broaden sales channels and establish a strong brand, we opened offices in major Japanese cities such as Tokyo and Kobe.
We also expanded overseas to Australia, South America, and Africa.
Through our original brand, “Bitchu Kokura-ori,” we gained wide recognition both in Japan and around the world.1966
A New Vision for Local Industry
To diversify our business and support the growth of local industries, we established a low-power electronics division within the Takaya Gosen plant.
This later became the Electronic Equipment Department (today’s EMS Division), where we began manufacturing transistor radios.1968
Answering the Wish to Keep Working
Opening Takaya Minami Nursery School
During Japan’s period of rapid economic growth, Ibara City flourished alongside its textile industry, attracting many young workers from across the country.
In 1968, responding to the voices of women who wanted to continue working after marriage and childbirth, Takaya Minami Nursery School was opened.
Established as the Takaya Welfare Association, it has grown as a childcare facility open to the entire community.1969
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its founding, Takaya Textile Co., Ltd. was reorganized into Takaya Co., Ltd.
The Electrical Equipment Division was separated from the textile division and promoted to the Electrical Business Headquarters.1974
Creating a Workplace Where Diverse Talent Can Thrive
As part of our commitment to social contribution, we established Shinsei Denki Co., Ltd., a model factory for employing people with disabilities.
In 1978, this initiative was recognized with the Chairman’s Award from the Japan Association for the Employment of the Physically Disabled.1975

In joint investment with Sharp Corporation, Sharp-Takaya Electronics Industries Co., Ltd. (now S-Takaya Electronics Industry Co., Ltd.) was established, marking the company’s entry into the semiconductor field.

The World’s First PCB test System
We developed and launched our own branded press-type in-circuit tester.
Even now, it continues to evolve into a flying-probe type, while further improvements are being made.1986

Established a new SMT factory.
Strengthened cooperation with major manufacturers through mounting technology that directly solders components onto printed circuit boards, expanding orders in Japan.

We established Takaya Electronics (Thailand) in Chonburi Province, Thailand.
Using an item-level management and unmanned system based on an RFID wheel system
we received the Automatic Identification Systems Award “Fujisankei Business i Award.”
Started sales of store-security self-alarming tags.2014
We changed the company name from TAKAYA ELECTRONICS (THAILAND)
to TROIS TAKAYA ELECTRONICS (THAILAND) .2017
